In grad school (for children’s librarianship) I did a project evaluating baby Einstein shows on YouTube. I was expecting them to be terrible, but I really couldn’t find much negative to say about it. Not all screen time is bad and you don’t need to feel guilty about showing your kid low-stim content from time to time.
@Charlotte it’s amazing how quickly they pick it up. I now try to keep an eye on the show whenever I am doing what I am doing so I kind of know. He watches with his dad sometimes in the morning when I am not around and it’s harder to know what he is learning then. But I agree it can be a fun little exploration trying to figure it out. However, I feel bad when he is trying so hard to tell me something or ask for something and he is getting frustrated. I quickly try to google the sign but he does his own version of it or he is signing more than one word and it’s not easy to figure out 🥴
It’s hilarious my baby is the same, I am conscious about how much screen time she has but she still picks it up very quick! Me and my partner then try to find out what she’s saying and I feel like it opens up a new line of communication 😅 like she is teaching us She honestly amazes me how quick she learns and that will be the same with your boy. Just try to find out what he is trying to say (it can be a fun journey within itself). Don’t stress to much as long as you get plenty face to face time with your baby xx
