What helps you snap out of an anxiety episode?

Hi mommas, I’m 20 weeks pregnant and dealing with a massive anxiety episode for the last 2 weeks. I feel like I’m constantly in the verge of a panic attack. I’m in therapy and taking medication but I’m still feeling stuck in the fear of fear loop. To those of you who’ve been there, what helped you break the cycle and regain your calm?

For me personally it was walking and going out for fresh air, although I have a feeling you will have already tried that. It helped me that I have a supportive partner that I can turn to for anything, I hope you have the same. Don’t ever suffer in silence reach out. All the best, it will be okay 💕

Going for a walk or talking to someone I trust and understands my situation is what usually helps me.

In the moment, grounding techniques help. I describe what's around me or do the 5-4-3-2-1 method.

A good therapist can help. Support from family and friends. A good supportive midwife. Try and breath, 6 seconds inhale, 8 seconds exhale. Maybe try to write some things down. I hope you find some inner peace xx
