You are supposed to fast. I used to work on maternity and for the glucose test they draw blood when you get there which gives them what your blood sugar is after having no food or drink and then they give you a glucose drink and then retake your blood two hours later which will tell them if you have gestational diabetes. We told ladies no food or drink except plain water from 10pm and no smoking or vaping as it can affect the results x
I didn't fast for mine, the doctor didn't mention fasting. I had to for the gestational diabetes check when I had the glucose test and bloods taken. Post partum diabetes blood test I wasn't told to fast, so I haven't. I'm yet to receive my results

No you don’t need to fast 😊 I’ve had mine done and didn’t and it came back normal. Fingers crossed for you too 🤞🏻
