Mine doesn't like any of them. Now, in a big scheme of things: what is the rush? They will eat solids their whole lives
Agree with @Vanessa âs comments. Whatâs the rush. seems like your LO is not ready yet. Read your babies ques. Not any other babyâs or blog online or even the doctors. I feed mine hand mashed food from my plate most times, thatâs only after sheâs showed signs of readiness and repeatedly pulled at or grabbed my spoon as I eat my food! I feed her things I eat that is hand-mashed, itâs an age old practice in my culture to get babies used to different tastes, temperatures and textures of food. This is good I cook for myself with ingredients like rice, lentils, spices and veggies
Do you have any of the things you stick the fruit in and they can chew on it? We started with that first before introducing any purees
Mine hated purĂ©es. And also me trying to feed him. We switched to baby led weaning and heâs loving it! We still do some purĂ©es but let him feed himself, we just load the spoon and heâs much happier. Itâs messier, but no more meltdowns
My little guy is not the best eater either. I feel like the more we keep trying the better itâs getting. We are doing fruit and breastmilk popsicles which he seems to love in the silicone feeders and then trying different veggies but those have been VERY tough for us!
We were told that solids and purĂ©es at this age is mostly just for exploration and learning to use their gums, tongue, and mouth etc more. Itâs not their main source of nutrients and itâs just for them to explore and figure it out. My little guys hates almost everything we try but he likes feeling everything with his hands and mushing it around and figuring out what it is. Seems wasteful of food but itâs a great sensory and tactile thing for him and wears him out before his afternoon nap and bedtime lol!
Ok this is our secret but use it sparingly. Coconut oil and olive oil. Coconut oil in his nut oatmeal. And olive oil in his veggies. You can use up to 15ml a day. We purposely avoided fruits. Our guy has only done cereals and veggies. And an allergy mix-in for nuts/eggs in his oatmeal. He loves Peas. If peas are mixed in with anything, he loves it more. Tonight was Peas, Zucchini, and Spinach.
We are right there with you!! I was so excited to see my baby girl start enjoying solids but everything she had tried she has hated!! It's discouraging but the best we can do is continue to try
Oh I am 100% struggling as well. Iâve tried purĂ©es and finger foods. Itâs a bit of hit or miss with him, he may eat one or two mouthfuls on a good day but thatâs rarely. Most days heâs crabby in the high chair so Iâm just letting him explore as much as he wants without the pressure to eat. I have noticed he likes to feed himself when he wants to eat so I just try to give him a preloaded spoon or finger foods and he can have at it. But heâs mostly fussy and screaming after 10mins in the chair so I just pick him up. I hear the first few months are hard with solids and we shouldnât lose hope and just keep trying.
Mine hated purées too so we went straight to table food and she loves it. I did try purées for a few weeks before we went to table food though. I ultimately made the decision because she seemed so interested in our food that we were eating and trying to grab it while we were eating.
@Hayley same with mine! Hates any baby foods, sheâs interested in all the things we eat. Nothing purĂ©ed. Wants textures so we handmash and large pieces of veg. Sheâs enjoying table food though.
Mine loves when I feed him puree but he's confused when I try baby oed weaning. Like I put s piece in his hand, and he just looks at me and drops it đ

Iâm struggling too. Mine refuses to eat anything other than avocado. Only tip I have is to keep trying. Eventually the babies will eat it
