Emergency accommodation
Does anyone have any information about emergency accommodation? How long you stay there, what area etc… I will be getting emergency housed with a newborn and I am quite anxious as I feel that the council has kept me in the dark and haven’t told me what’s going on
Generally you could go into temporary accommodation like halls of residence, until somewhere becomes available. You’ll probably be given a log in to “bid” on properties, you should be on the highest banding so housed as top priority. You have to bid on appropriate properties though as if you’re seen to not be bidding it won’t look like you’re serious. It’s a sh!t system but as long as you get housed - keep the end goal in sight xx
