Cows milk

My son is 10months, 1week and I’m thinking to introduce little bits of cows milk here and there for him to drink throughout the day. (I already use cows milk in his omelettes and for his weetabix/porridge) He has formula and still has 3 bottles a day (as well as food) so I’m wondering shall I put some cows milk into his bottles to top them up or literally just give him some cows milk straight from a cup and increase the amount weekly.. Help please :) TIA x

I think the advice is to carry on adding bits in food like you are but wait until 1 to give them in replacement of formula x So that’s what we will be doing

Hey! We are 11months on the 11th Oct, have been adding a few oz to her bottle for the last week or so since the HV came to see us. So if I've done a 6oz, I've done 4oz formula, 2 oz cows milk etc and she's always had cows milk for wheetabix and cooking! Working perfectly for us 👌🏼

Add milk to foods etc. I’m not introducing cows milk until a year old for him to drink. He has yoghurts so he’s getting diary in that too. I will introduce it a little at a time to his bottles. I think it’s much better for their tummies. As it can make their tummies bad for a bit when switched. X

Their kidneys are not developed enough for cows milk as a drink until 12 months so best to wait til then as per NHS advice, also formula has a lot of added vitamins etc
