Your doing a great job she’s eating. The food you are giving is great wholesome food. Does she like savoury foods. I do cook for my little boy but the meals he can’t eat what we have a give him a pouch. Ella’s kitchen in my opinion are the best. They are tasty. Is her food purées thin or is it chunky mashed fruit? X
We’ve had some success with eggy bread this week. Do you have the what mummy makes book?
My daughter loves anything with mash her faves are cottage pie and fish pie and I always serve veg with this like broccoli/ peas/ carrots. She loves mac and cheese too. I did make a beef casserole for us the other day and gave her some and she did well with that. I’ve done blw since 6 months so I just modify things for her like cut veg/ fruit appropriately etc. I think it’s just trial and error some days she will throw food off her tray 😂 x
It sounds like you’re doing great! They’re super early in their eating journey. Could I suggest that you serve a combination of what you’re eating and what she likes? It doesn’t really matter at this age if it “goes”. So for example yesterday we all had tagliatelle with turkey meatballs and hidden veg sauce. I gave some to the baby so she could try; and she chucked the pasta on the floor 😂 but it didn’t matter because the toddler (and my husband!) we’re chugging it down. She also had a little portion of a daal I made which I keep in little portions in the freezer (and full disclosure buy the Ella kitchen one if I’m time pressured). So she ate all of that plus a half a yoghurt and a bit of banana. That way they’re still trying new things and you don’t need to worry about palette but they’re also getting something in their tummy. In terms of meal ideas for babies, mine likes shepherds pie, or anything with mash and gravy, mushed carrot and Swede, daal and brioche rolls
