Hot water bottle after embryo transfer

Tomorrow I’m booked for my frozen embryo transfer. I’ve been using a hot water bottle on my tummy with the hope of increasing blood flow to uterus and my lining is thick enough. I was hoping to do the same after the transfer, with the hope of encouraging implantation. I know I’m meant to avoid hot showers, saunas etc, so is using a hot water bottle on my tummy a bad idea?

I would recommend asking your clinic at the transfer to be sure. I was advised to have warm hands and feet to promote good circulation (think fluffy socks, hot soups and drinks, no ice cold drinks) but don’t want to put excessive heat on the area. I found a toasty blanket, socks and warming foods was enough to make my core temp feel warm.

I was told to avoid hot water bottles till taking pregnancy test

@Sophia thank you!

@Maggie thanks so much, I will do!
