This definitely must be a learnt behavior. Try time out at home. And stop favorite snacks chocolate icecream and teach that you do not hit others firmly with eye level contact.

Teachers must do time out in class im sure, they should do something about it.

:/ I’m sorry! I was told it’s normal for them to hit lol 😂 my son freaks out if we don’t do something he wants to… or if we have to end an activity ect. Maybe cut back on his hours? Some kids stay 8hrs a day… way too much IMO… or don’t do pre-school if you have the option.

As a preschool teacher myself it is fairly common for this age to hit teachers and other kids, at 3 years old they can have really big feelings that they don’t understand and don’t know how to express and it tends to lead to hitting, pushing, biting, etc. At my daycare we don’t do “time outs” we do body breaks. We tell them I know you’re upset about whatever but we do not hit our friends or our teachers… something like that! Just stay consistent and even feel free to ask his teachers what they do when kids hit and how you both can work on it so it’s the same at daycare and at home!
