Injured tooth/gums

Has anyone’s kid ever hit their tooth/gums? What did you do for it? It’s not wiggly at all and stopped bleeding right away but I’m worried about the tooth being injured and getting discolored.

My 2 year old chipped on of his front teeth very small but cried a lot on our tile floor when he was running and fell. I took him to the dentist a couple days later, was eating fine and everything. They said just to observe and if it gets discolored to call back.. I’d say as long as your little one is eating okay it should be okay. After all it is his primary teeth, at least that’s what I keep telling myself…

@Shelby was his wiggly at all? Did it end up turning colors?

Not at all wiggly and that was maybe 6 months ago or so and it still looks okay. I was just worried! He just had another check up and dentist said everything looks good

@Shelby okay great that helps me stop worrying about it. Hers isn’t wiggly and isn’t bothering her at all so I think she’ll be okay I just worry about everything

We did this.....twice. He's not allowed on the step to the bathroom sink anymore because of it. He fell and went mouth first onto the marble counter. He didn't break any teeth, but there was a lot of bleeding, and he refused some foods because it would hurt to chew. When it happened, we put ice on it and gave him some Tylenol.

My 4 year old bumped her tooth on a chair about a year ago. Her tooth turned a bit grey for a while. We took her to the dentist and they said it wasn't severely injured and the greyness would likely go away on its own, which it did.

I wouldn’t risk it. Take them to the dentist.

My kid has hurt the inside of his mother MANY times. I think it’s the fastest healing part of our body. I think he should be fine?
