Baby groups

How to get over the anxiety of going baby groups by yourself?šŸ„ŗ I moved to Bolton and donā€™t have any family and no friends. I really need to get out the house with my baby who is 4 weeks old but so nervous to go to baby sensory classes and things by myself, how to get over this?? It sounds totally stupid I know but Iā€™m riddled with anxiety over it but I know I need to do it to enjoy this time more! Also for my baby to see other people/babies other than me and his daddy šŸ„ŗ I know once I get there everything will be more than fine but itā€™s just that initial step of getting up and going!

Iā€™m really nervous to go too, so if you find somewhere to go, Iā€™ll try and brave it with you šŸ™ˆxx

I donā€™t know if youā€™ve found groups already but Bloom Bury and Bolton Sputh is fab - Sara that runs it is so lovely. I first went when my daughter was 4 weeks old and have met people with babies around the same age and made some friends! Be brave! Ask people if they want to go for a coffee. Youā€™re all in the same boat and everyone is nervous. Good luck!! Xx

I think the best thing to tell yourself is that every mum is exactly the same. Their babies cry, scream are so unsettled sometimes at the groups but everyone is going through the same thing so it honestly is a breath of fresh air when you see over mamas doing it too! Check out baby boom on Facebook the ladies that own it are so beautifully supportive and all the mums are too. Again donā€™t forget every mum there is feeling exactly the same as you ā¤ļøā¤ļø

I felt much better about this at about 6 or 8 weeks, it felt more manageable then. The best advice anyone gave me was don't worry if your baby cries the whole time, next week it will be someone else's and everyone is so caught up in their own situation that they won't even notice! X

My baby is 11 weeks, and I've still not been to any because of the anxiety šŸ„² also have a 4 year old, so I thought it would be easier this time round, but it's definitely not! If you want to message me, I'd be happy to get to know each other! šŸ„°šŸ„°

Honestly, I felt anxious about it until I went to my first one which was only when my LO was about 3.5/4 months, then I realised we was all in the same position and it all started to feel much more easier going to different ones x

I was the EXACT same. I started bloom bury and Bolton south. Sara is amazing. I started going when my little girl was 9 weeks. Sheā€™s now 15 months so sheā€™s in her last few classes. I also now have a 4 month old little boy and he goes to bloom classes as well. We started going with him at 3 weeks. Itā€™s a great group. 0-6 months caterpillar club 6-15 months busy bees There are classes in little lever every Weds morning. The 0-6 month one is at 10am. Itā€™s a small group but everyone is so friendly and Sara is amazing and so welcoming. Always happy to meet you outside and chat to you in class to make you feel a bit less awkward. Just pop me a message xx

@Frankie feel free to message me lovely xx
