Breakfast cereals

Heyyy, My little one has always been a great eater but we have now hit a point where his become fussy with his breakfast his 16 months and his favourite breakfast was Weetabix, to mix it around he will sometimes have rice pops, his now started to not finish his Weetabix, I don't want to give him bread for breakfast also as he would have something similar at lunch and makes him constipated. I've tried porridge, ready brek, wholewheat hoops he doesn't like any lol any ideas of other cereals (ideally something that's good for him not chocolate based) I've never ate cereal, what do your little ones like? Thanks xx

I find this really tricky as most cereals have so much sugar in! I don’t know what I’ll do if my little one goes off Weetabix! I’m thinking to mix it up a bit and try him on some Oatibix soon 😊

Mine loves the morissons malted wheaties (shreddies) and they’re low in sugar and salt.

Oh thank you, I will have a look out for them, Weetabix have had a good run lol

My girl loves Tescos malt wheats (own brand Shreddies)!

Shredded wheat great for no sugar, or supermarket own shreddies which are lower than branded ones.

My boy rarely has cereals for brekkie nowadays but has omelette or greek yoghurt and banana, just some low sugar high protein alternatives you could try xx

My son likes cornflakes xx

We have cheerios

@Lauren I give mine dry so he can also have them as a snack

Thank you all, he had shredded wheat this morning and enjoyed them lol x
