Really dark and dehydrated belly after c-section

I am five weeks postpartum and my belly still looks just as bad. It’s so so dark and dehydrated compared to the rest of my body (see attached pic for reference). I feel like absolute crap and am so insecure about it! I had a lot of stretch marks but not at the top of my belly so I dont understand why it looks so bad all over. Worst part is, I have not seen one person complain about the same thing, someone tell me it’s normal? Or should I be concerned?

my belly is the same, im 4 weeks postpartum

@Sneha @Gabby Seems like maybe it’s the case for us people of colour then?

My tummy was dark too after i had my first baby though without the stretch marks as I didn't get them. But yes. Tummy stayed dark for good 6-8weeks. But trust me, it will all be gone before you know it.

@oge thank you, gives me hope. Thought it will last forever.

I always say it took me 9 months to get to this give it 9 months to go back though it may not go back to it 100%

Exfoliating has helped me a lot, its not gone but has reduced a lot. Sugar and almond oil or olive or your own choice of a carrier oil and some lemon juice. Coffee scrub is good too. If you can take collagen also to help tighten the skin.
