Is this normal?

Loads of women get incontinence after birth. Get a referral to a pelvic health physio to give you exercises to strengthen up. The Squeezy app is also very useful and free!

I was told tondo this 6 months postpartum, insurance doesnt cover pelvic floor pt until that point. Couple exercises I was told to do and it improved my pelvic floor to better than before birth. All involve Kegels. Do Kegels contraction while doing the lift on clam shell legs, lying on your side, release when lowering leg Do kegels contracrion while lifting butt in bridge release and relax on way down. Can also do kegel lift exercises, imagine going to various floors in a tall building and tighten as you go up, release as you go down. If you have any tears, episiotomy etc I would speak to a doctor before taking on exercises for your pelvic floor.

While some pelvic weakness can be common post delivery having complete dysfunction where you’re not making it to the toilet isn’t and it can be a sign of bladder damage from labour. Contact triage and they can discuss it with you and refer on to other services such as physio

It's very common but it's not "normal" so definitely speak to your midwife about a referral to see someone about pelvic floor physio
