Has anybody else’s health gone very down hill since having your little one(s)?

I’m nearly a year postpartum and I have so many random health conditions since. I have liver issues, joint pain constantly and my back is in bits always. I’ve developed an intolerance to alcohol also (which could be linked to my liver, but never have been a heavy drinker) so it’s all up in the air. Like I feel 60 in a 25 year olds body. lol

Yes my carpal tunnel is killing me. I go back to work Monday but I'm anxious thinking about it. I'm a Dental Assistant but doing admin for now and hoping my CTS will go away on its own. I did a couple nerve conduction studies and the specialist suggested I get surgery done for both hands. Catch is they can only do one at a time and recovery is 6-8 weeks each. I can't take another 4 months off work for this surgery. Not sure if I'll be able to get EI for it since I was just on mat leave. I didn't know there's so many things that can happen to your body after having kids! Safe to say I'm done and good with just 2.

Yes, I have two cysts on my ovaries, the one on the left is 14cm and the one on the right is 4cm. Unfortunately I will need surgery to get both removed but I will also have my left ovary removed due to the size of the cyst. Now I’m even more worried I can no longer have children later on in life due to this. 🥲

Yup! But I had issues prior to being pregnant. I was my healthiest when pregnant. Everything spiraled when I weaned from breastfeeding. My liver enzymes are elevated. My thyroid isn’t working (I have Hashimoto’s anyway) and my platelets have taken a plummet too. I have a uterine fibroid causing me to bleed for 3 weeks a month. It’s awful 😣 and it sucks 🫠 oh and the insomnia. I haven’t had it this bad since college

@Lucy Morales I have my miracle rainbow baby. I only have one ovary that functions. The other one is covered in cysts and doesn’t release eggs

I have carpel tunnel and vertigo also have been getting cyst on my uterus. I had very bad back pain when I was pregnant and it’s never gone away. I feel so old even though I’m not even 21 yet and people tell me I’m just going crazy and that my doctors only believe me because I keep bugging them. I’m almost 14 months postpartum and things just get worse instead of better.

Yes pregnancy and the strain of caring for young children does ruin your health ☹️ I feel like I’ve aged 20 years

@Sheri I’ve actually got suspected carpal tunnel, but I also have nerve issues in one of my legs so I’ve kind of dismissed the thought and put it down to something else? It’s so weird how many random things pop up

I feel you!

These babies suck the life out of us

@Kayleigh What's it like? Cause I also have pain in the back of my right knee.. I did with my left too after giving birth. I did with both babies. But now it's just my right bothering me.. unsure if it's sciatica or what cause sometimes my butt hurts too. Also when I breastfeed, I get a little bit of I wanna say nerve pain in my back.

Yes I’m only 25 and I have been diagnosed with arthritis in my lower spine, spinal stenosis up in my neck, my hips keep getting out of alignment, and I have cysts in my bladder. And now I’m pregnant again and have a uterine prolapse but after this I’m done no more pregnancy’s

I developed a skin condition after pregnancy which requires regular steroid cream use - never had any issues with my skin prior 😂 5 years PP and it's still there. hormones are wild.

Yes I’m 28 but I wasn’t feeling this way before and had a healthy pregnancy.Did experience a 3rd degree tier put that has been healing . Put I’m having increased lower back pain ,weak knees .constant constipation and my face has just not been the same since just rash looking at time .

Just horrible plantar fasciitis and the occasional heartburn. I do get achy but i figure from lack of exercise, bad sleep.

I have carpel tunnel, I’ve got a bad knee, my back is always I bits, when I clean if I’m bent over for too long my legs cramp up. Honestly I feel the same girl I also have neck and shoulder pain.
