Full time working moms?

I’m currently working 2.5 days a week but have looked to increase to 4 full days to allow slightly more income to the household and improve my workability (currently very awkward only working 2.5 days a week). This will mean 4 full days of nursery for my 2 year old which is quite a lot. I feel so guilty but at the same time I’m not really enjoying our time together as much since she’s entered the terrible twos 😓🫣 feeling really torn about the whole thing, and like I’m failing as a mother. I’m wondering how full time moms feel about working more? Do you miss the time with your little? Any regrets?

My eldest and this little one have gone to nursery whilst I was full time - they both started nursery when they turned 1. I work 4 days compressed but full time hours. You certainly aren’t failing as a mother, for me I wanted to go back full time. Little one is loving nursery and he’s happy and content when we pick him up. They quickly get used to it..

I work 4 days a week with 1 shorter day and don’t regret it. I think it helps us enjoy our time together more and it makes me a better mum when I’m with him 🥰 quality over quantity, but each to their own. Good luck with your decision xx

My husband and I both work 5 days a week and our little girl has been in nursery 5 days a week since she was a year old. She honestly loves it and is thriving. I love my kid but I also love getting to be myself and do something I'm good at.

I work 5 days and LO is in nursery 5 days. He loves it! And I like my bank balance!!! we have the best weekends together as a family and he loves the routine in the week. He is just a joy. He would be so bored if I was at home more. You will find peace with your decision - if you are still unsettled in a few months just change your hours. But I think you will be fine :)
