When did you ladies start feeling like yourself again or at least better?

I feel like my hormones are shifting. Or maybe because I changed my diet drastically for the better. Or maybe because I started exercising more (only been a week 😅) or maybe because my son is sleeping better at night more consistently but I’m finally starting to feel better. My son will be 2 in December. When did you start to feel better or like yourself again? I don’t feel like myself again. I do feel better though. It’s hard to explain.

I think after you have a baby your new normal changes. all of those changes you’ve made and are making are amazing! You should be proud of yourself. My baby is eight months and just started sleeping in his crib all the way through the night, which made a massive difference for me. I feel like once there’s a bit of routine you just have to make sure that your time is intentional. 🤍

23 months and still a mess

Mine just turned 8 months and I'm just now starting to feel like I'm getting back to normal. Mind you, my kid hates to sleep. So that has been a lot of my mental baggage 😂

My son will be 2 in January and I am feeling similar to you, like I'm starting to feel more myself again but only just.

After about 18 months

I started to feel better around 1 year old, and now she is 20 months old and I feel really good. Still not as fit and rested as I was pre-pregnancy but I’m happy with where I’m at and know I’m working towards feeling even better ☺️

My sons a year old this month and I don’t even remember what I used to feel like lol

18-24 months started to feel closer to normal but still not 100%

@Tempest thank you so much for your kind words ❤️

@Alison just recently my son started to like sleeping lol it gets easier. It’s amazing what a few good nights rest can do for you

@Cat sorry I hope things get easier for you

@Kayleigh I’ve been there haha

Never

I think it took me about 18 months and exercise was the biggest contributor. I used to be pretty fit before my son so it was an adjustment to my new body and I didn’t really feel like myself til I started to get that back. Ass is no where near what it used to be but people can at least tell I workout lol I don’t know if I’ll ever feel the same though. I’m in school and watch my classmates be able to take a day off and just cram in 5+ chapters the next day, meanwhile I have to consistently do 3 chapters a day so I have time to spend with my toddler. It would be nice to take a nap or day off.

For me it was around 9 months . it’s a long process I’m still struggling just not as bad..

Same boat as you. I just had my second baby late August. With my 1yo I waited more than 6w to get back into the gym. This time around, I felt good enough to start walking 2w PP. My goal during pregnancy was 5k steps a day, new goal 10k and this week was my first week back in the gym. Im feeling great! But I wouldn't say I feel like myself.. I agree as far as hard to explain. I wonder if I will ever feel like myself, or is this good feeling my new self?
