Poop all over wall 😵‍💫

So my wee boy is currently potty training. However I do put him in nappies at night time. I woke up this morning to him having smeared poo all over his wall. I never heard him wake up and usually when he wakes he screams my name from his gate and then get him and if not he’s always woken up by around 8. He has no signs of any additional needs or autism or anything like that but I have googled why toddlers do it and it came up that it could be a sign of it. But also read it could be him being curious/bored/likes the feel of it 🙃🥲 Anyone else’s little one done this?! I am hoping that he won’t do it again I gave him a talk on how we do not do that and it was dirty and told him that it wasn’t ok etc etc and I will be checking in so much more during the nights to come but I just can’t get over it 🙃😵‍💫x

Is this the first time he’s done it? If it is I wouldn’t look too much into it as it could be he’s curious or he didn’t like it in his nappy and tried getting it out. Xx

Yeah this is the first time 😭xx

My daughter did it everyday for ages was horrendous (she’s not autistic) we end up putting her to bed in dungarees and a top now lol

I have heard of others doing it too!! I can imagine that is NOT ideal to wake up to 🤢 😷 💩 but not necessarily a sign of autism, I guess they just don’t realise it’s gross 🤣

Don’t worry! As horrible as it is.. some kids just enjoy the sensory aspect of it. (Without being autistic) 🤷🏻‍♀️ Pop him in a large Babygrow backwards.. (you can cut the neck a little too so it’s not tight..but as long as it’s up a size and is roomy too..it’s fine).
