Nursery lunches

What are people sending with their babies for lunch at nursery? I did pouches for the first few sessions as it was easier but don’t want to do this all the time. I was thinking of making some pasta dishes with different snacks. Can babies have sandwiches yet? Any other ideas? Thank you

My little boy nursery provides all meals and snacks.

That’s great for you and I wish mine did but that doesn’t really help me on this post 😂

I just thought it was standard practise in all day nurseries... no need for the sarcasm 🙄

i think they can have sandwiches, i'm sure nursery have given my little boy some😂 what about things like pizza pinwheels soup shepherds/cottage/fish pie baked potato with cheesy beans macaroni cheese tomato pasta these are a few things i give my son for lunch or nursery have fed him, hope it helps and depends whether they will heat things up? x

My nursery provides his but its usually just blended version of the food that they are giving the older kids - so you could maybe keep some leftovers from your dinner the night before and puree/mush it to the right consistency for your little one and send that in? Xx

Thanks all. He’s not a huge fan of being spoon fed so I’m thinking more finger foods but I’ll start making a list of ideas x

@Rhi yea I thought it was pretty standard they provide the meals as they said they want to keep cross contamination of foods from happening and under control where other kids could have allergies or dietary requirements etc. When viewed others and my girl attended her nursery. Never heard of nurseries saying sending in own food
