Constant worry

Im constantly worrying about movements and it’s driving me mad. Today I’ve felt baby move but definitely not as much as usual and I’m so panicked. Problem is, I’ve had this panic soooo many times and then after a day they normally go back to their normal wriggly self. Can the next 8-10 weeks hurry up now so I can stop stressing about it? I think it’s worse because you’re the only one who can feel them so it’s solely your responsibility to keep aware of it and it’s draining 😣

Do you have an anterior placenta? Makes it lots more difficult. Babies patterns change so much, when my baby is quiet I give him a little prod everywhere and usually he responds but I have an posterior placenta x

Also the bigger you get the less room then have in there to more around as much too

I am in exactly the same boat! I’m currently at triage! If you’re worried call triage it’s best to get checked out. I’ve never been told what type of placenta I have so the midwife is going to have a look on my notes but just listened to heartbeat and said my placenta could be anterior which would explain why I don’t feel as much movement.

Mine does this. One day's she's a wriggler the next shes a sleeper . I find laying flat usually gets her to move

No I have a posterior placenta and some days baby is constantly wriggling! I genuinely think they just have some days where they’re more sleepy but it doesn’t the panic 😅 at least we’re all in the same boat hey! Hope all is okay @Kirsty x

You know you can always call your maternity helpline I went in for reduce movements today with bad headaches was given urine test to do, checked my temperature and blood pressure I did have to do 2 ecg scans and was there a while but always good to check x

@Jade yes thank you baby is fine have got to go back for a growth scan as it was my second visit but they are happy baby is ok

Completely relate Jade!! My bubs has no obvious pattern, sometimes they’re just chill and other times they’re having a rave. I spoke to the midwife and she didn’t seem concerned but I just keep worrying. I don’t have any helpful advice but just know you’re not alone, and not long to go now - you’re doing great!!!

Think they like the keep us on our toes @Elaine! Thank you so much ❤️

Hi, I was worrying about bby movements too. I’m 27 weeks and can’t feel it. I call hospital, they did check the movements, everything is okay and they told me that it is completely normal that we don’t feel it everyday.
