Budget depends on your household - what’s reasonable for some might be too much or too little for others! I’ve spent maybe £60 and got a few bits second hand (play dough cutters, little people tractor) as well as a ride on dinosaur, a magnadoodle and some play dough/kinetic sand. We’d like to also get her a tonie box, but thinking we’ll ask family to contribute to this, and see what the Black Friday/cyber Monday deals look like as it’s quite expensive. Or we might save this for her birthday if it’s too much. They probably wouldn’t notice at this age if you wrapped up their current toys 😂 the unwrapping and the excitement is the fun, not the amount of stuff/what they get!

We haven’t thought yet of what to get but we try to follow Something you want Something you need Something to wear Something to read We don’t go overboard since other relatives will also buy stuff and we don’t have much room in the house!

We’re going to go for some role play bits this year. I would say he’s only just started to focus on an activity for a longer period of time. So we’re going to get a work bench and some tools. A baby as he loves these at nursery (nothing expensive or fancy) A hoover to go with his cleaning set he already has. And then some clothes probably. I’ve just cleared everything out so he hardly has any toys left now 🫣
