In between Christmas & new year birthday!

My little boy is one on 29th December so in between Xmas and new years 🫠 Anyone else unsure what to do giving the festive time of year? I want to mark the occasion for sure as it's his first and I need to celebrate one year of motherhood 🤣 I was thinking to do a party early in December before the festive period but then have a small family celebration on 29th. Anyone have any ideas on how to manage awkward birthdays lol

My daughters birthday is also the 29th (she’s 4 this year) we normally do Christmas as normal then make sure all Christmas decorations are down the night before her birthday so that it’s about her a bit more. On her first birthday she got so over stimulated with seeing family over the Christmas days. When it got to her birthday party she cried the whole day. So we just kept her birthday small for second and third. Not sure if that helps but that’s what we did anyway.

My birthday is the 29th of December. Sometimes when I was around 5 to 9 my parents would do me a party in the summer instead of in the winter because I wanted to do more outdoor activities for my like do it in the park and we would just keep my actual birthday very quiet and family, I’ve always quite liked it because it means I’ve had lots of family around during that period around my birthday

My sons is 27th December and I'm doing a party on the 27th December 😅. We'll keep it to 2-3 hours and give people plenty of notice. I'm hoping people will come as many people are off and feeling jolly over Christmas. Not planning this every year but definitely for his first. A party early December sounds like a good option too though if easier for you! The good thing is these babies have no idea what day it is!

My daughters is 27th, for her first birthday we had family over and went to a farm aimed at children where you can pet them and feed them. Was a lovely day. She’s three this year and we’re unsure when to do a party, as her friends have bdays beginning of dec we’re thinking early Jan, Christmas will be over and can be something to look forward to.
