Have a look at Years dog food online. There is also butternut box which I used to use but find the years better and easier to store and comes in recyclable packs. It's all fresh human grade food and my dog who has never been that fussed about food and often gets bored loves it, its scoffed within seconds. If you do decide to try it I am sure you get a discount on your first box or I could see if I have a referral discount code. You get different flavours in your box too so it keeps them interested. I also give him bits of what we are having, veg etc.
+1 for years and butternut. Years do a 7 day trial too which is helpful to test it out!
@Emily we’ve looked into butternut box but it’s very expensive. The same as many other online subscription food services. That’s our biggest issue.
@Mikaila I will definitely take a look, thank you. We have looked at butternut box before but it’s too pricey for us. Our raw dog food was £1 each and fed her for 2 days so was only costing £15 a month.
Yeah it is more expensive than that, I think I pay 60 quid for the month for my dog. But you do get what you pay for and he is thriving on it. He had stiff back legs before due to arthritis and now running round like he is a pup again and his coat looks great. Have your tried cooking the raw meat and adding some veg to it? Or just meat from the supermarket. And if what you are having is suitable for dogs then add in bits too. Sometimes butchers do off cuts for dogs. I sometimes give my boy a tin of tuna as well. It would hopefully be a cheaper way. Supermarket dog food is generally full of additives and processed. I have noticed a massive difference moving away from all that. But dogs do enjoy variety as we do. My boy loves sweet potato, brocoli and carrots so always make extra for him. X
@Mikaila she loves raw chicken and definitely prefers our food over hers. The problem I find with using our own food is knowing how much to give her.
@Chloe yeah i just wing it to be honest. I am sure you will be fine if you don't go overboard. They often love raw egg too, and it's good for their skin so good for once or twice a week. Just don't give them any processed stuff. X
Found this, it might help, gives a breakdown of what they need and some ideas x https://www.thesprucepets.com/homemade-dog-food-recipes-5200240

I could have written this a few years ago, I have a Chinese Crested Cross toy poodle and he is 7 now. We had trouble even down to having to find the right bowl or he wouldn't eat. The only thing that mine will eat and has done so for years now and that's fresh pet from a big Tesco in the fridge in the dog/cat aisle. Good luck.
