Okay I'm sure I've already asked but I have mom brain and forgot: what are your potty training methods? Tell me what works

My little fellow will be 2.5 in late November. He is already familiar with the potty and has peed and pooped in it. I just don't think he can hold it yet 😬

I would say underwear just to minimize messes and get him used to just being in regular underwear+pants but I haven’t potty trained just from what I’ve seen on here I hope it’s smooth sailing🤞🏻

If you have a portable potty, while the weather is still nice, have him in the backyard without pants on. Let him run around and tell him if he thinks he has to go, run to the seat

Naked from the bottom half down to begin with for at least a few days, then introduce trousers so they get used to pulling them down and finally underwear. We're training this week and obviously I can't send our little one bottomless to nursery but underwear are too similar to wearing a nappy so he's not even associating with needing to go to the potty as they asked for underwear and trousers

I done naked in the house, potty out I’d literally pick him up run him over and praise praise and more praise even if a tiny bit got in the potty. Constantly saying “wee wee” tbh I done standing up straight away because he wouldn’t be sitting down as he got older so just made more sense to us. Then we’d add underwear if it got wet or soiled we’d change and explain “oopsie accident” then change to fresh pair.

I did a vest top and pants so he would feel his self wet and taught him to pull them up and down too

@Sarah no backyard unfortunately

I did naked/commando for a while.
