Food ideas

So my little boy is 6 months and he loves his fruit purees but he doesn't like the lumpy ones at all. We have started blw and he just isn't taking to anything I'm worried he is going to be really hungry because he is only eating fruit đź«Ł

My little girl will only take smooth purées any lumps and they come strait out so we’ve been doing a purée in the morning and a BLW meal in the evening it’s been working well because I know she’s getting food in her tummy still aswell as having a chance to experience textures and feed herself even if she doesn’t really eat the evening meal🤣

Also if he likes his sweet purées over savoury try a sweet and savoury combo? Like spinach and apple or avacado and mango.

Weaning is purely for fun at this age, milk is for nutrition and keeping his tummy full. You can get fruit and veg mixed pouches too which are smooth x

I started on porridge in the morning recently as you can make it progressively thicker. I just bought cheap porridge oats, made a half portion with milk, blended then watered it down. The half adult portion made about 5 mornings worth at first. I did weetabix today and it was quite lumpy and she ate some so it is working. For BLW we found that you need to start with melt in the mouth foods. Banana, peach, overcooked broccoli etc and move onto bite and dissolve then bite & chew. We were expecting too much
