Feeling annoyed / upset / angry

Anyone else feel so upset when their baby cries or whinges? I put her down so I could shower and brush my teeth and she was fine then she started going crazy and ended up spitting up so I had to change her whilst she's crying. It feel frustrates me cause I'm just trying to shower and have 5 minutes. I ended up raising my voice at her and saying no, give me a break! I feel so guilty for raising my voice at her. She's just a baby and turns out she was just tired. I put her down in her crib and she went straight off by herself:( I also missed a very important call from an on call doctor in the midst of it so I was just so frustrated!!!

Yup. Been there too x

@Jessica I feel awful immediately after but sometimes I'm just like oh my god pleaseeeeeee I just want to brush my teeth

I know. It's really hard to go from being your own person to having to look after yourself and a baby 24/7! I shouted at my baby once, which was just stupid but I think it got it across to my husband how fed up I was! He gave me 5 minutes to have a shower and sort myself out. Don't forget to ask family/friends/anyone you know for help sometimes! X

Yeah it's frustrating. I'm finding it hard to switch off and it's just constant at the moment. I thought the fussiness stage had stopped cos the leap had finished but now I'm battling with his breathing cos of a cough/ cold and teething symptoms. My partner doesn't get in until later on and I'm already starting the bedtime routine at that point. Looking forward to the weekend when I can have more support. You're doing great x

I've literally just threatened to put mine in the bin because she keeps head butting me and then screaming 🙄 If you don't headbutt me then it won't hurt your head...

@Jessica yeah ive got my MIL coming over soon for an extra pair of hands. I also feel bad because I still need to get stuff done. I left her in her bouncer whilst I went to the toilet and quickly ate a sandwich (5-10 mins max) and she cries the whole time. I picked her up out her bouncer and she's fell asleep on me, she must have exhausted herself 😭😭 my partner works in thr office so it's quite hard doing it on my own and can't give her 100%

@Haylee so frustrating. We are also in the fussy stage where she will cry and cry and won't be put down. She'll cry if I walk out the room so it is just very hard at the moment. Thank you so are uou x

@anon oh god, it's hard isn't it to keep your cool. My girl was crying last night cause I was putting cream under her neck and that was frustrating me, like why are you crying. Not even whinging full on top of her lungs screaming

I know you aren’t looking for advice but my baby LOVES when I get my electric toothbrush out and watching me shower from his baby bouncer. We’ve made it into an activity so I don’t ever have to miss out on my own hygiene. If that’s helpful?

Every night when I put my girl to bed she fights me getting her pyjamas on and then kicks and kicks at me while I'm trying to do up her sleeping bag and I'm not sure if it's a sensory thing or what but it just changes something inside of me. That and when shes on my chest and she turns her head side to side slobbering on me

@anon oh god the slobbering 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣

I know this doesn't help stop baby crying but have you tried ear plugs? Loop do some where they basically drown out background noise but mean you can still hear/focus on important things. They're expensive for ear plugs but work quite well. I don't have any, but my friend gets on with them really well as they just dull the sensory overload without cutting you off completely x

You aren’t alone in this!! Xx

@Annie💜🌻🍄 yeah mine laughs at me when he watches me in the shower. He also loves watching the clothes go round the washing machine when it's on and I escape upstairs. Hates it when I leave him alone for a few minutes x

I’m alone allll day No break from anyone My MIL is with my SIL whole day as she had an unplanned 3rd kid and my mum is too frail to travel to me It’s so tough and I eat badly as an outlet I have started to put telly on towards the end of the day when I’m starting to loose the will to live with baby on sofa with me
