Headspace

Mummas, not in a very good headspace right now. I feel this deep sadness and rage building up inside and I feel like I'm going to explode. All I want to do is cry. My 15 month old is showing a lot of signs of Autism and can be very difficult emotionally. I have no idea how to cope with this and having an 8 week old baby. I have no friends I can talk to. I feel like I'm about to have a breakdown.

Can I just add that the rage is not directed at my 15 month old as I adore him with my whole heart but with family on mine and my partners side. And not to mention the extreme anxiety I have around my health and my babies health. I am so scared something will happen to me or my babies. 😣

Hi. I'm really sorry you're having a hard time. It's really difficult as there is no break from this job of being a mum. I'm finding things difficult too at the moment. Have you thought about talking to your health visitor or GP about how you're feeling? Feel free to message me if you want to talk at all xx

@Ella I have my daughters 8 week check on Saturday so I'm going to mention it then. I mentioned I was struggling during my pregnancy about 25 weeks pregnant and they said they would get me some help but I'm still waiting 🙁

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. Please know that you’re not alone in this. Speak to your GP or refer yourself to Steps to Well-being. What signs is your 15m showing? X

I'm so sorry, this sounds so tough. It's hard enough with a newborn, but having just had my second I totally understand how relentless it can feel with 2, and that's without potential autism in the mix. It's no wonder you're struggling, especially without friends to support. The Pandas foundation can be a great source or support - they have telephone helplines as well as support groups & 24/7 support via WhatsApp message https://pandasfoundation.org.uk/. Also, you should be eligible for support from your local Talking Therapies Service (NHS) - and you should be prioritised as a perinatal mum. You should be able to find info online & most services let you self refer. Wishing you well ❤️

I'm so sorry you're going through a hard time, my messages are always open if you need to talk xxx
