@Marie She starts her day with 1 whole egg (plus toast/pancake and fruit!) and typically has chicken or beef at lunch and dinner. Plus yogurt with one of her snacks usually. I assumed that was plenty, but maybe not.
Yes mine does! Only around her growth spurt or to distract/sooth herself from teeth pain. You are not alone LOL she eats more than my husband and he’s a big guy! The thing I notice what fills up my daughter is fiber more than protein and carbs.
I had this issue with my daughter! She’d eat nonstop all day snacks meals everything plate clean!! I wound up asking the doctor and they said toddlers can pick up on habit and start to eat just because! That was the case for my daughter! She never really experienced hunger because she was full just “used” to snacking! Not saying it’s the same for your toddler, but I do know the feeling and you’re not alone! Now she only gets crazy hungry and eats all day during growth spurts or sometimes a random day but it used to be constant! It’s surprising how much they can eat!
Just make her portions bigger see it helps
My son was a huge eater and great nurser. Now he lives off little pieces of cheese and mandarin oranges. He's 29.5 pounds and 35 in though so he's ok with this weird hunger strike I guess 🤷 I've always honored hunger cues and feed whatever he wants.
Yes!! My son is also right around 23lbs and eats CONSTANTLY. He typically only eats half his meal at a time, though, and then comes back 10 minutes later for the rest... then 10 minutes later for a snack. I've tried giving more water and watered down juice throughout the day to see if that helps. But if this is him as a toddler, I'm scared to see how much he eats as a teenager!
My toddler is driving me crazy. I can’t open the fridge anymore, or the pantry. She wants to eat all day. Sometimes I’m hungry but I remember I can’t even take my vitamins in peace she thinks I’m eating. She’s only 19 pounds but her tummy looks distended specially towards the end of the day I feel bad when we go out because she can’t see other people eating Even in the airplane, she already knows when the flight attendant is coming with the food lol
Does she eat enough protein? Sometimes eating more protein helps feel full longer... otherwise, I would follow my kids cue!
