Placenta

Hey guys I would really like to take my placenta home, I’ve found a website called Placenta Practice and they offer encapsulation and also a collection box to take it home in. The only concern I have is I am not sure what to do with it exactly, I wouldn’t mind the encapsulation but it’s very expensive and I want to trust the company but also am stuck with if I should bring it home myself. Would also make a smoothie with it too just not sure how I’d even go about that 😂 Is there any other local options where I’d know I’m definitely getting my own placenta back😂 Does anyone have ideas or good reviews for companies that won’t charge and arm and a leg for encapsulation or any services xx Also what did you guys do with your placenta (those that took it home)

How far along are you? When i did my birth plan I got asked if I wanted to keep my placenta x

I am 38 weeks xx

Please be aware the placenta filtrates all toxins.

Be careful, I’m not sure it’s as good as it makes out. Do some research. See above comment x

Is there a particular reason you want it? I will advise against making it into a smoothie as its an organ thar filters toxins so it doesn’t get to your baby I don’t think there is any particular benefit to drinking it Just like there would be no significant benefit to eating liver or kidney or heart but if it was transplanted into out body, it could be lifesaving. Even the encapsulation is doubtful to have much benefit for the cost

I wanted to do encapsulation but when I actually read into it decided against it as I was planning on breastfeeding! I’m not sure if it’s the same for formula but I didn’t want to risk passing toxins to my baby! They also sent mine off for testing so didn’t get an option x

I didn’t keep mine but def recommend having a look. It’s an incredible organ- even my husband (who was skeptical) thought it was amazing in person.

Ngl girl I want to keep mine too x I’ve been reading into it and you can dry it and make it into a supplement put it into a tablet and just swallow it. I know it’s very controversial but so are the vaccines 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m choosing not to have any vaccines for myself or my baby and i will also be taking my placenta home to consume

I got to see mine but it was exceptionally damaged from birth (too long to explain) and had to be sent straight to pathology for testing. I know naturally we would eat the placenta but idk if its worth it

The vaccines are far from controversial- there is a big science behind them and trials

As in its controversial to not get them 😂 and that’s my choice

@Harriet you're a fool. So, you read abit of Google and then decide you know better than every scientist and doctor for the past god knows h9w many years? Wow. I really hope your baby doesn't get a lethal dose of whooping cough, measles or meningitis. I can sleep at night knowing all of my children are protected from serious illness!

@Federica exactly!

Oh, and keeping the placenta to eat it is fucking grim. The only reasons animals eat it is to not attract predators and as a food source as they can't go to Tesco 🙄

@Rebecca I guess you got all the covid jabs and boosters too 😂

@Harriet actually not all of them, and I didn't give them to my kids. They have however had all of their childhood vaccinations and flu, as I actually give a shit about protecting my kids. See all those cases of unvaccinated kids with measles and whooping cough? They end up fucking dying or being disabled, think about it.

I feel sorry for your baby I really do.

@Rebecca its her choice not to get her baby vaccinated. People have their own reasons why so who are you to judge? Your kid can die from getting Covid but they’ve not got their vaccine so shoukd everyone sit here telling you you’re an awful person and u don’t give a shit? It’s NONE of your business and this post isn’t even about vaccines so why did u feel the need to comment about it? You don’t know the full story or reason, don’t comment.

@Daizee you are a legend and I love you ❤️😘 thank you so much for the response

@Harriet no worries❤️ I didn’t get my vaccines and im perfectly fine 🤣 x

@Rebecca no bullying on this page Becky - keep that energy in your own home ❌🙅‍♀️
