Sure start

Hi everyone, I was in contact with sure start at the start of September about possibly joining some groups, they are running a birthing class which I would love to attend. At the time of contacting them I was 29 weeks and was told someone would ring me and arrange a home visit and get me registered for the classes. I'm not 34 weeks and still haven't heard anything from them about organising a home visit or signing me up. Does it normally take this long? Or should i contact them again?

Show your support

Hiya, surestart seem to have very limited staff on over summer holidays and very little prenatal classes during term time. If you sent your forms during the summer they may have been overlooked, I would just send another email and ask did they recieve your registration forms and can you arrange your home visit.

Yeah I would contact them again it took me to call a couple of times before I got registered

@Sarah they never mentioned anything about forms, they just told me someone would contact me to arrange a home visit. I don't want to be a nuisance. I first sent an email in August and got no reply so it took multiple emails already just to get a response so don't want to hassle them again but at the same time I wanted the supports in place by now.

@lynne good to know! Thankyou!

No problem, sometimes it takes to be a nuisance

This happened me i was told Someone would be in touch and it never happened, then a class i wanted to go to came up and i messaged them and was able to just do the registration/forms before the class started they are all very nice and its no hassle x

Definitely give them a call again!
