Preschool SpecEd Eval
Hey Mesa Moms! Has anyone else been thru the MPS preschool special education evaluation process? I’m taking my son to get evaluated tomorrow (most likely autistic) and I was just wondering what to expect, what is it like, what do I need to bring? Would love any advice or shared experiences!

@Alicia how old was yours when you had the eval done? By privately do you mean you had it done at like a clinic or like a one on one interview?
I think he was 4- like just turned 4.
We had it done by Gentry but it was super expensive.
I was told later that ASU offers these services for a lot less. May be worth looking into?
We did the process privately. They took him back and I had to wait for a long time.. he didn’t need anything. They had me still give him his meds. Don’t know if that is helpful… but there are FB boards for ADHD/Autism that may have more help.
