White woman having a mixed race black baby

I’m a white woman I’m 19 and I’m having my first child. The father of the child is still with me. And a lot of strangers when they find out I’m pregnant with a mixed race child assume that I’m just fetishising black men. And they also assume that I’ll be racist to my own child or that I won’t treat them the same. Is anyone else having similar experiences?

As a mixed person I get looks when I’m with my husband who is clearly “black” and he gets looks with my kids and I’m in the US. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I've been sexualised just from saying I have a mixed race baby

It’s one of those things where it’s like is it really that deep that I’m having a child of a different flipping skin tone

I’m Sorry your experiencing this seriously people are honestly so silly as a mixed person with a white mum I get comments on my mums capability to raise mixed children it’s so silly it’s actually 2024 and it’s pathetic ppl still make comments like this I say fuck em and enjoy your baby and partner you know inside you aren’t in no way a racist & you love your partner for who he is and you love your baby the same 🤍

Not really that.. but my baby’s father is dark skin and whenever we walk together people stare at him. This really triggers me. Trying to focus on my beautiful family and forget about people’s hate. Just focus on yourself sis and your baby! ❤️ God bless you

Omg people think that. That’s absolutely ridiculous

Unfortunately society is judgemental. I saw a post this morning someone calling out people fetishising mixed babies by asking what their hair/skin tone will look like etc and that’s part of the issue. As soon as someone sees you as a “white” mother with mixed baby (black) that you somehow have a black man fetish. It’s so ridiculous! This comes from all backgrounds of society. Like you are lesser than, so sad. I have had previous experiences of being sexualised, and made to feel like by having mixed children I only like black men (I was married to a Greek man for 12 years) 😂 I’m always put in the white girl box when I’m mixed myself because I look so light. It’s all just ignorance and judgement.

@Faye💖 thankyou for your kind words. I’m sorry to hear people question your experience with your mum. We’re 2 month away from a new year and people can’t stop ☹️ but honestly it’s just so exhausting hearing the criticism from ppl xx

Me and hubby when together/with our kids get stared at, I mean it’s 2024 people can we grow tf up?

I'm white and my husband is mixed (black /white) and our baby is as white as snow 😂 We do get the Oh, that's the that look sometimes but it doesn't bother me as it's not that often😊
