I am currently 2 weeks postpartum and we have been taking out food every single day since exhausted to cook.. curious to see if anybody else is like this and for those who started cooking meals when did you start?

I started cooking meals straight away with our first as my husband would look after her while I cooked. With our second it has been a bit harder with a toddler to look after and a newborn so been having takeaway or toast for dinner the first week. Finally starting to get back into the groove of being able to cook again.

Meal prepping has helped so much find time to yourself to prep and plan meals that are easy- like dump in a crockpot or warm up from frozen

I’m also 2 weeks and even when I have the best intentions to heat something from the freezer in the oven between feedings I can’t seem to get to it!! I know eventually life will go back to normal but right now there is no time to do anything!! I also have two older kids so that doesn’t help either! Eventually, there will be time though, and life will go back to normal!

I get a lot of frozen meals or prepped meals from Costco that I can just pop into the oven and that helps. We’ll do lasagnas/pizzas/oven ready salmon etc

I'm 2 weeks pp and just cook like I always did. I just bring his bouncy chair into the kitchen and set him down where it's safe and do my thing.

I’m also 2 weeks pp and I don’t have the energy or even the hunger to cook. I’m working on myself and trying to get over the baby blues. But I hope I can feel like myself soon and start cooking again.

I’m 7 weeks pp today and I’ve cooked maybe twice 😭💀 today being one of those days lol. I eat out so much if my family members don’t cook for me. The first time I tried to cook my baby screamed his head off the whole time and I gave up on it for awhile 😂

I'm almost 4 weeks post partum and I can count the times I've cooked in one hand and it's been breakfast most of the time. We've been surviving on friends dropping off food, getting take out for us or frozen/ready made meals from Costco. My husband has done most of the cooking otherwise and the times I've been able to cook is because my husband let me sleep in and I'm feeling refreshed. Take your time and let others take care of you for now.
