Knee pain postpartum

Has anyone experienced postpartum knee pain nine months after giving birth. Since I got an episiotomy my pelvic floor therapist said it could be due to the scar. Not sure but any tips would be great!

When do you experience the pain? And how would you describe the pain? I get knee pain from walking up stairs. Mine is due to weak joints. If you’re breastfeeding you still have relaxin which causes your joints to be less stable. In order to reduce the pain I workout to strengthen the supporting muscles on the joint. I enjoy kinstretch by beard for that.

Thanks for your note and tips! I really appreciate it. Carrying my baby up the steps hurts, it’s like a sore pain on top of the knee cap and I feel stiff if I sit for too long, getting up is hard, we had three sets of stairs in the home before and we recently moved now so that put some pressure on my knee. It’s been like this since mid July. I also went for a massage and my massage therapist was telling me my pelvic floor could be misaligned. I had a forceps and episiotomy birth. I’ve been shifting my weight to the other knee and I’m starting to get sore there too. My baby is getting big too which is great, I also gained some weight with breastfeeding so not sure if it’s that as well.

I’m combo feeding so still breastfeeding as well. I just don’t want this to become chronic as it’s hard to have knee pain and a baby loool worse combination. It hurts to crawl on ground too and kneel to pick toys and things up.

I got pain behind my knees with both babies.. after delivering. My right one still hurts too here and there and I'm almost 11 pp.

It’s so frustrating! Hope you are feeling better Sheri!
