I have it, and take medicine for it. It makes me feel better. I can also tell it if I need to be increased on my medication. If I’m not on it, I feel horrible. It doesn’t “fix” everything, but you will feel a big difference. Hypothyroidism affects everything in your body. Your hair, skin, moods, memory, sex drive, metabolism, literally everything. If I miss taking it, or don’t take it on an empty stomach an hour before I eat, I can tell the difference.

@Jessica thank you

You’re welcome! If you have any other questions let me know !

I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and multiple thyroid nodules. I’d recommend an ultrasound of the thyroid if it is enlarged to check for nodules as well. I was taking the lowest dose (10mg) of levothyroxine for a few years and never noticed much of a difference, even when I forgot to take it. Since starting the levothyroxine, my thyroid levels have recently almost returned back to normal. So much so that my new dr told me to stop taking it altogether and she will continue to monitor the levels. I know that this may not be a common occurrence and likely depends on the severity of the hypothyroidism. However, it came as a surprise to me because I was told that once you go on a synthetic thyroid hormone, that’s it and you have to take it for life. Just wanted to share my experience in case your hypothyroidism is still mild. A potential factor in this is that thyroid nodules are known to release thyroid hormones as well. So it’s possible that the nodules are responsible for my current lvls.

@Rachel I’ve came off of my dose before too ! Years ago like 2014, and my levels were good for 7 years before I had to get back on it.
