Coping with mentally stressful job

Having a tough time at work currently. Luckily I work from home and my job isn’t physically demanding, but I’m finding it mentally difficult. I have really difficult conversations with people about really personal situations and a lot of anger/frustration is projected from them towards me. Today I found it really hard and it ended up triggering a panic attack on myself. I then felt really guilty for putting the stress on myself and baby which has really upset me. I just wondered how any mama’s to be are coping with similar situations at work? Unfortunately it’s just a big part of my job and not something I had really struggled with before, but add in pregnancy hormones and the pressure of putting baby first, and it’s completely different! :(

I’m 15 and a half weeks pregnant with our rainbow baby and the hormones are insane. I usually struggle a little bit with my mental health and work anyway, but add the pregnancy hormones on top? It’s so overwhelming at times but I’ve found it really helpful to talk to HR about it, or my manager, who are thankfully quite understanding. Could you speak with HR to discuss how you’re feeling and see if there’s any steps they can put in place to help ease some of your stress? Keep smiling lovely, we’re all here for you 💛

@Chloe Thank you so much lovely 🩷 I’m sorry to hear you’ve been finding it difficult as well, but I’m so glad your HR department and manager have been supportive. I think I will speak with my HR team for the support but I can’t see what could be changed to stop this happening again as it’s just part of my role. Definitely worth the conversation though as you never know xx

Bless you! Let us know how it goes 🤍 hopefully something can be done to help relieve some stress for you! Big hugs xxx
