Does your baby eat dinner with you?

Our little one goes to bed at 7pm. However, my husband and I don't eat until 8:30ish by the time he's home from work, showered, walked the dog etc and I'm sorting our little one. I feel bad 😮‍💨 we do eat breakfast with her though and lunch when we are out and about (just not the same thing)

I don’t with my son as he has his dinner around 4:30-5 and I don’t eat till after he’s gone to bed which is around 7:30/8, hopefully in the future when he’s a little older we will be eating as a family, but like you say with work schedules it’s hard to maintain a meal time with that x

I do, and my partner eats at the same time but in his office (wfh). Only because we eat the same thing so it's easier and we can't use the kitchen once our son is asleep. (Kitchen has no door, it's the other side of the wall from his cot, we can't close the bedroom door with his cot in it). Plus his bedtime is all over the place so it really wouldn't be consistent. I think eating breakfast is good! Them having a bit of a chance to see how you eat and eat together is nice but also you're still with her while she eats her dinner so she's getting that interaction and you can all eat your dinner more peacefully then. I get one bite and then have to reload my sons fork or pick food up he's dropped, so it's nice you can just focus on her during dinner and then you get that time to eat with your husband too which is also important!

Nope, she has dinner at around 5:30 then she sits in her high chair with toys while I eat my dinner after her. Then she has a bath and we do bedtime routine. She’s 9 months old & her routine sometimes changes depending when she wakes up & what we’ve done that day. When she’s older I’m sure we will all eat together but as long as she’s fed and happy then that’s all that matters xx

My lo eat dinners at 5pm which is much too early for us, and my husband is never home from work at this time. I always sit with her and will eat a little bit of what she is having off of a plate of my own so that she sees me eating too. But I have my own dinner a few hours later once she is in bed!
