Eating

How much does your little eat? So I’ve done BLW as my little does no like baby food unless it’s yogurt. Well last night we had hot dogs for dinner. Baby of course had the hotdogs fourthed and then diced from there. Babe ate 4.5 dogs! In one setting. Big kid 99th % across the board, does stop eating on own… but can 100% put down a good amount of food. Should I be concerned with how much is being eaten at once? I don’t want to create an unhealthy relationship with food…

All 3 of my kids could definitely eat a lot at this age before picky toddlerhood reared its head! I think it's fine to let baby decide when he's full, as long as he's not making himself sick. However, you may want to think about such large portions of hot dogs as a regular occurrence - just due to the high sodium and nitrates

@Samantha This is the first time he’s ever had hot dogs. I rarely make fast easy dinners. It’s usually chicken, fish, beef, that I prepare and with veg and stuff as sides. I’m just so exhausted lately and they sounded so good. So I did a cheat night lol. I definitely limit what he eats if it’s not inherently good for him, I give him juice watered down once every 1-2 weeks, limit his sugar intake to very very rarely, no dyes, usually stuff I’ve made at home. Just a lazy night for this tired mama. ❤️ Thank you for the concern though! 🫶🏻

Down to 4 bottles a day of formula. Early Morning when he wakes up starving, morning nap, afternoon nap, bedtime. 2-3 snacks throughout the day. Full meal for breakfast lunch and dinner
