Gift ideas for grandpa?

I need a gift idea for my grandpa. We don't usually do bday gifts but we're doing a small party for him this year so I thought it would be nice to get him something little. He's a simple guy, getting up there in years (87 or 88 I think), and can basically buy himself whatever he wants so I'm not really sure what to get him.

What about something with #1 grandpa on it? Like a mug or a hat or shirt?

At that age they usually don't need anything so if he's close maybe a special experience with you and the kids. Or a small basket for harry and David is always great

I remember for an Ex’s grandpa, his family did a collage of pictures and accomplishments including family and other stuff he likes. I don’t know if this is something you could do or include others.

Does he smoke cigars? Into guns? Read? What does he like?

@Victoria he doesn't smoke, not into guns, he does read but I'm honestly not sure what. He goes to the library a lot

in 4th grade, i bought my gpa a frame that said “i get my good looks from my grandpa” with my class cash and it made him sooo happy! so maybe something sentimental like that?

Give him the kindel. I think that's what it's called. The electronic book. Elderly people love that. I see them all of the time.
