Postpartum/ Pregnancy Rage

I’ve been dealing with postpartum rage on and off for almost two years. I’m on anxiety medication which helps some but not all. I recently found out I’m pregnant and the pregnancy rage is unreal. I can go from zero to sixty with no warning, over stupid things. After I’m left drained and feeling so incredibly embarrassed. The guilt is so heavy. But I can’t figure out triggers or how to stop it. Has anyone else dealt with this?? Any tips or tricks?

If you can catch yourself at all, try scream singing stuff instead of just yelling. Like even just the alphabet, or making up a song about the situation your in not being the most pleasant. You can still feel stupid after sometimes but you don’t feel as awful. Also holding onto ice cubes for as long as you possibly can before throwing them into the sink or tub or outside as hard as you can. You can also involve your toddler in that activity too if they are also struggling with frustrations.

I know many may not agree either what I’m about to say, please be kind and remember what works for some may not work for others. I have had rage/temper control issues since my childhood (always labeled the bad or problem child). There are different therapy techniques you can use. Unfortunately there isn’t a medication for rage/anger issues. That being said, a natural alternative that works for ME is cannabis,(I’m not advocating for you to try this while pregnant, but I currently am and use as needed, I also have a 3 y/o with zero impairments). You don’t need a lot especially if you’ve never used it before. Edibles are a good alternative if you don’t want to smoke. There is also non-thc hemp products. I find that certain terpenes work better than others for me. I prefer hybrids and indica as opposed to sativa which tends to amp up my anxiety which in turn can affect my anger. Another herb is Valeria root. I hope you find a remedy that works for you mama! ❤️

@Kayla so I was using CBD oil if I could feel it would be a high tense day but since finding out I’m pregnant I’ve stopped using it. My husbands told me for years I need to try weed for my anxiety but I had a really bad experience once…he thinks it was laced with something else…so I’ve never really considered it again.
