How are we keeping our babies busy when they need to sit still (without snacks)?

I have a super active, high energy guy who sometimes just needs to be relatively still and quiet (ex. When waiting at his older sister's ballet class, he can roam a little but not go on the dancefloor etc). When I bring toys he loses interest very fast (like 30 seconds per toy) and makes a LOT of noise with the toys while he plays. I frequently bring snacks, that's the only thing that works for long but I am worried I am getting him into the "eat to relieve boredom" mindset. I've struggled with my weight a lot in my life and I really don't want to set up bad eating habits for my kids because they are so incredibly hard to break (or they were for me at least). What has worked for you? Photo of the little one in question 😊

Following! I'm in the same boat with my daughter. I try to make the snacks healthy, but I'm still afraid of creating a bad habit 😕

I have a portable busy board I got an Amazon that has 4 sides of stuff to mess with. I bring it on car rides and on the plane once. Doesn’t keep his attention crazy long but longer than individual toys 🤣 ms Rachel is my next answer 😭

Busy board and a bunch of different books, especially the ones that have different textures for her to feel. But certainly doesn't keep her attention forever.

Books. I read the same book probably 10,000 times yesterday 😭

Slime in a ziplock bag, jello anything mushy and easily filling in a bag, fidgets like the pop it, maybe even some yarn with some plastic straws or noodles to have him concentrate
