What do you tend to have for dinner?

I wasn’t much of a cook but I’ve been living in the kitchen since baby has been on three meals. But, I honestly am getting really stuck with what to make. She is in a fussy phase but even then I don’t think I was that adventurous with meals. I’m very lazy but also want something really nutritious but also she will just throw it all on the floor 😭😭😭 I just don’t know anymore. What are some meals you tend to have for dinner? Edit: also what do you do when your baby refuses to eat what you have cooked? Our go to is some toast, but I don’t know if I’m creating bad habits but also can’t let her go to bed hungry

For dinner we try eat the same e.g. lasagne, spag bol, fish pie, chilli, risotto, mini roast dinner, sweet potato curry, any pasta dishes, sausage and sweet potato mash etc. If she’s being fussy (not when she is unwell or teething) I don’t tend to offer anything else. We carry on eating and this usually makes her start to eat some eventually as she realises she’s not getting anything else. If worst comes to the worst i’ll give some greek yoghurt and fruit near the end so I know she’s had something. If she’s unwell or teething then avocado is a fridge backup x

We had a very fussy phase too. I kept giving him an alternative option and always “gave in” and he ended up eating bread only…one day I had enough and just stopped. For a few weeks he would just not have dinner because he refused it. He does have a bottle before bed and never woke during the night so I knew he wasn’t hungry. He now understands that dinner is what he has on the plate and no other options. He is still fussy with meat and veggies so I always offer carbs, meat and veggies and at least he eats the carbs. Sometimes meat too. Vegetables never 😂 but it’s progress. x Dinners: lasagne, spaghetti Bol, pasta bake, pesto pasta, fish fingers & wedges, rice and chicken, stews (slow cooker, less effort), fish cake.. 😊
