the ones that i see just get many thousands of dollars every month and i was born and raised here and get $700 only for my daughter and nothing for me. Food banks are barely enough. Don’t know if we need to be working in that sector

My husband has been in immigration for 10+ years, usually consultants specialize in people immigrating from certain countries where they might speak the language or have lived previously so the understand the systems in place in that country as well as the country the client is immigrating to. Not sure about courses here in CA as it’s a really niche field but you can send me a PM if you have any other questions

Id really super duper recommend if you’re wondering what career to choose help the extreme poverty children HERE that have no way out and are suffering. Teens and young adults as well they want to get out of it so badly but can’t

I agree with @Lizete we should be helping Canadians as priority, also probably more job opportunities and easier to get into as well

@Rachael oppression is really bad and impossible to escape for a lot of people. The more that come in the harder it is for those that are literally just suck in generational trauma or a disability etc. list goes on and on

Queen’s University has a Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law. It’s an online program and it is quite pricey. $15,000 I believe. And I think it’s the only official recognized program. That would be a good place to start doing your research.
