You basically call medical and tell them. That’s what I did once my daughter was born maybe a few days later. If you want baby to be seen at Kaiser, you’ll have to tell Kaiser you want to be assigned to Kaiser and go from there.
@Roxy yes! I have Kaiser through my parents still because I’m under 26, so my baby will need his own separate plan
I enrolled my baby with Kaiser through Covered California. Have to wait until they after they are born. It was easy to do online and then had to wait for some paperwork to arrive at home.
Are you with Kaiser already? If so they should be able to set you up if not you just call medical! Kaiser is amazing!
Apply online @ benefits cal or at your local dpss office. Make sure you have all your paperwork. At your delivering hospital there should also be a social worker that can help you apply.
Are you with Kaiser? I had to wait til my baby was born to enroll, called the day she was born.
