Could anyone please give me there opinions on what my son watches and tell me if it’s bad for him to watch and give some suggestions on what I could swap it for?

I'm sure the shows aren't bad for him to watch. My little girl tends to watch shows that are on cebeebies on iplayer, some are learning and others are just enjoyable. She watches colour blocks, waffle doggie, down on the farm, moon and me, in the night garden, alpha blocks etc. We figured if it was on cebeebies its probably fine so she has limited tv time but can watch what she fancies

I would personally avoid bebefinn, pinkfong and blippi due to the high frame rate which can be overstimulating and in a way addicting for such little brains. We tend to do CBeebies shows like number blocks, bluey, Shaun the sheep, moon and me and hey duggee… we also love miss Rachel!

Still no screens here but I used to love watching ‘Old Enough!’ on Netflix.

@Cal what do you tend to do rather than having screen time and how do you get stuff done? My little one only watches tv when I need to clean, do dinner or have a shower or if I just need a break haha x

We play snap as a family, with cars/playdoh, he plays with his toy kitchen. Chores are mostly done in a work lunch break (perk of WFH!) or by one person whilst the other parent plays with him. Or he helps out, we cook together, he loads the washing machine, he helps us put stuff away post food shop etc… We don’t get much personal down time at all but it’ll come eventually 🤷🏻‍♀️

We do Ms Rachel, Wiggles and Mr Tumble. She's picking up words and sign language/gestures/dances from them. Everything else kinda goes over her head? So we just stick to those 😅 I def think Bluey is too advanced for now, but when they're older it's good. I think it's recommended for 5-7yo iirc. Like, that's when they can follow the plot properly and stuff. I've watched the lot though and learnt so much! We sometimes put on the intro on repeat, as she loves the dance 🤣

Also, to add: if you let them watch stuff with gestures/sign language - make sure you know them all too 😅 else they'll be signing to you and you'll be like 👀
