I had my health visit appointment letter through last week & I’ll be 30 weeks tomorrow. I think it’s just to meet them & introduce the service for later. There’s more info on their website (should be on the letter)
@Jess I didn’t get a letter I got a call a few weeks ago and then she text me again today saying what time she’s planning to come x

I'm 30 weeks and not heard anything but every area will be different
Mine is when I’ll be 33/34 weeks x

FYI not everyone sees the HV before birth. Every locality has a different system so it’s not given that you will see someone.
@Sam ah I didn’t know this sorry. I just assumed since they go over safe sleeping etc maybe it was important for everyone xx
30 weeks tomorrow and got a phone call today to arrange for October x
I’m a health visitor, where I work we only see women who have additional needs such as safeguarding or mental health. Other areas see no one, some may see everything. It depends on funding etc. I’m also a midwife and the midwife will go over everything that’s needed before the health visitor takes over from 10-14 days post birth. Midwives will explain safe sleep etc x
Varies from team to team and what their capacity is. They’ll just be introducing themselves and giving you information.
