September baby likely to be born in October 🎃

I was due September 18th, so I’m currently 41w + 5! 😅 I had my third sweep yesterday & was only 1/2 a centimetre dilated, so I’m waiting for the hospital to call me today about my induction. It was a very emotional day for me yesterday, as induction was the opposite of what I had wanted, but whatever gets baby here safely. 👶💙

I completely feel you! I went for my 2nd sweep yesterday too to find that I was still the same as Thursday- it’s so disheartening isn’t it 😔

Ah i just switched to this group too as currently 41w +1 with baby showing no real signs of making her own way into the world. I currently have Covid too, so for once actually want the baby to stay in a bit longer 🙈 I had the pessary induction with my first which was much better than expected - maybe they can try that first?

@Marie aww we’re in the same boat! Yes, definitely going to ask to try the pessary first as apparently that’s less harsh on the hormones 🤞

@Kirsty oh I know, it takes it out of you emotionally. I know we should be talking prepared for any birth experience to happen, but it’s been difficult accepting that I need an induction!

Awww Jodie I feel like this baby is teasing you, I feel like you’ve been waiting forever since our last convo😔 I really feel for you, god I’m so deflated today with it being my due date and having no signs after trying everything so god knows how you feel, I hope he makes an appearance soon for you❤️xxx

@Jasmine it’s so difficult! But it’ll be worth every second of this waiting & mental struggle 🫠 just hoping the hospital call me because the midwife booked my induction for the wrong day initially so they had to correct it & override the system because it’s fully booked today 🙃 xxx

@Jodie good luck with your induction, it's one emotional roller coaster. Feel free to message if you would like to chat, complete opposite of what I wanted too as I did everything to prepare for a natural birth

I m in the same boat! My sept baby looks like will be an October baby too! 40+3 today💪🏻 hoping she will make an appearance this week 🙏

You know I was telling my husband how I thought induction meant like my body failed me, but he reminded me that induction is just a boost/help, it’s the same as me taking antibiotics when I’m fighting infection or taking paracetamol when my head is aching. There’s nothing wrong with induction or section, just getting help from medical system with the childbirth. It made me feel 100% better :) I also heard plenty of stories of women going into labour naturally but then stalling so they had to get induced anyway so it seems like it’s pretty common anyway :) we’re heroes regardless how we birthed our children
