Fussy eater

Is anyone elses 16 month old suddenly turned into the fussiest eater imaginable? My little girl has suddenly gone off everything except chicken nuggets, alphabites and potato waffles.. i offer breakfast, she pushes everything away, i offer lunch (sandwich etc) she throws it on the floor, i made spaghetti bolognaise for tea tonight, she pushes it away.. once i offered her crackers, cheese etc, she ate that quick 🤦‍♀️ (i am that parent that would much rather give my child something i know theyd eat rather than them go hungry) has anyone got any words of wisdom for me?🤦‍♀️

Yes, same, mine only eats pasta, as in texture. Nothing else. I tried every recipe and textures under the sun, after one mouthful, she's point blank refuses to eat anymore. So I just make casseroles with all the varieties of meats and vegetables and I blend it and freeze in portions and serve with pasta and pretty much every night that's her dinners. Chicken casserole, beef, fish or lamb. I can't let her go hungry and wait for her bedtime bottle 🍼, so I cave in and give pasta AGAIN 😮‍💨😩..if anyone has any tips and advice, I'd appreciate it too! Lunches are horrendous also..but that's another story for another post..😅

Yep exactly the same, she’s barely ate a meal for a week! I’ve been so worried and like you would rather she ate something than nothing, everyone keeps saying she will eat when hungry. She’s had a virus and is teething but I do think it’s a fussy phase too like if she chooses something herself she’ll eat it but it’s all very back and forth she’ll say up up and wants the plate put on the island then screams for it back

Yes, our little boy has suddenly become really picky whereas before he’d stuff his face! I genuinely don’t know whether it’s teething or illness or a developmental phase. It seems there’s a few of us in the same boat though!

My boy did this for 2-3 weeks and then went back to normal x

Yes and seemingly to get worse! I'm the same and have given 3 bottles of milk today because of the lack of food I'm worried she's not getting enough. She's drinking water and milk fine though. I'm hoping it's a phase that will pass. I seem to remember my eldest going through similar at a similar age too x

So glad im not the only one going through it! X
