Birthday stress!!!

I thought it was just me! 😅 I have neck pain from the stress. I can’t wait for it to be over. Obviously it will be a good time and memories for the fam and baby but yeah I’m over it. 🙈

@Ruth definitely everything you said! I think after this we’re going to hangout fix him whatever his favorite meal is at the time and let him pick out 5 new toys!!!

I’m on the same boat and mine is considered small!! It’s the guilt behind it. I was going to go on a small trip but I had guilt not having family around for my son’s first birthday! Expensive and plus starting daycare around the same time as well!

Yeah I had this whole I idea of a Mickey mouse theme but decided to just do a small get together with tacos, balloons every where and music. Cake. Nothing too huge because she will not remember anything but we will get lots of pictures. As long as we are around loved ones, having fun, idc about all fancy stuff. She doesn’t need anymore toys lol.

Ours is very low key. A pumpkin patch picnic. We invited her story time friends, friends and family. We are just doing cake and punch and a couple low key "things" for them to do. We chose 3p-6p, a couple hours with no obligation to feed a crowd a whole meal.

@Ari whats your number of ppl attending the trip? At first for ours it started as small get together of 11 now we are about 25 ppl

@Demi what’s your definition of small? Ours is considered an intimate get together all grands n great grands plus aunts n uncles n a few cousins

Nope. Legit just the cake I'm making, apple cider punch, water and baby safe treat. We are setting out picnic blankets and decorations I've made and toys we already have.

The trip was an idea since no one could make it besides my mom. So I had guilt of the ppl who weren’t going to be there that’s why I’m doing a small get together now at my place, but it’s stressful especially because I get overstimulated and out of my comfort zone. I’m sure it’ll be worth it for the memory!

Some close friends and family and their kids. No more than 5 kids. Maybe 5 adults.

What are the things that are stressing you out?

@Hannah its really just the finances of everything. I’ve been a people pleaser my whole life so I just to make sure my son has a good time on top of making sure the other kids that are attending wont be bored and keep up a fuss.

So we just had her first bday party. We set it for just three hours...everyone left like after 2.5 hours. It was the perfect amount of time for photos, song, snacks, cake and playing. I diy-ed most of the stuff.
