Anterior placenta

Anyone else struggling so much with an anterior placenta? I’m 35 weeks now and had weeks where movement was seen on the outside and it’s gone completely backwards. I’ve been seen in triage numerous times and had scans and baby’s always behind the placenta which is reassuring. Some days the kicks hurt and others I barely feel them which is so disheartening and hard not to constantly worry

This is me allll the time. Being my first baby I'm never sure what's normal but some days baby is very active and other days I can't feel him much at all. I find if I've had a busy day I'll feel him less but if I've been pretty sluggish I'll notice movements more. I think it depends on the position of the baby too! My midwife said always go with your gut if you're worried so that's what I'm trying to do 😭

Mine is only anterior at the top, but I went in to be monitored last night because his movements weren't reassuring enough and I'd hardly felt him all day! They had trouble keeping track of his heartbeat! Even at almost 32 weeks he seems to have room to keep disappearing! I had frontal anterior placenta with my now teenage son and all this monitoring wasn't a thing. I remember barely feeling him until towards the end though and having to sit in a certain position to feel him... Such a worry 💞

I have exactly the same one day I can feel him move and then I can go days without feeling him and I always get worried but always ends up being fine, but the worry always remains.. its a mind fuck that's for sure x

It’s such a concern isn’t it! I thought by now being 35 weeks I’d get more reassurance but like yous have said baby still finds room to hide🤣

Mine is anterior and I’ve always felt I have a very ‘quiet’ baby. idk if he’s actually quiet or it’s just the placenta.. But every scan I’ve had (quite a few!) he’s been really quiet too haha, doesn’t move much on scans! Lazy! I’ve been in twice for reduced movements and they say all is totally fine, so I just accept that he’s quite quiet and I often can’t feel much. Would rather have an active one! But maybe he’ll be a chilled babe 😅🙊
